Game Store ISB
Designed a complete e-commerce storefront for a video game retailer - platform-first navigation, bold gaming aesthetics, and a friction-free checkout built to compete with marketplace giants.

Problem :
Local game stores compete against giants - global marketplaces with infinite catalogs and rock-bottom prices. Game Store ISB couldn't win on inventory or price, so it had to win on experience and trust. The challenge: most small e-commerce sites in this space look templated and untrustworthy, exactly the signal that makes gamers - a famously skeptical, detail-oriented audience - abandon a checkout. The store needed a design that felt like a brand worth buying from, with a browsing experience built around how gamers actually shop: by platform, genre, and price.

Solution :
I designed the complete storefront end-to-end - information architecture, product browsing flows, product detail pages, and checkout. The IA was structured around gamer mental models: platform-first navigation, genre filtering, and prominent deal surfaces, so any title is reachable in two or three taps. The visual identity leaned into gaming culture - bold, dark, energetic - while keeping product pages clean and conversion-focused: clear pricing, platform badges, and a checkout stripped of every nonessential step. Trust signals were treated as a design layer of their own, woven through the experience rather than bolted onto the footer.

Challenge :
The hardest balance was personality versus usability. Gaming aesthetics invite visual excess - neon, motion, clutter - but e-commerce punishes anything that slows a buyer down. I resolved it by zoning the energy: expressive design in the browsing and discovery layers where it builds excitement, and ruthless simplicity in the cart and checkout where hesitation kills sales.
Summary :
Game Store ISB launched with a storefront that holds its own against marketplace giants on the one battlefield where a local store can win: experience. A platform-first architecture, a visual identity rooted in gaming culture, and a friction-free checkout turned a small store into a credible brand.
